Ana and Nenad out of Olympics

Ana Ivanovic and Nenad Zimonjic  lost 2-6 4-6 in mixed Doubles against Sania Mirza / Leander Paes from India in the first Round of Olympics games in London . 


Ana's Next Tournament is Rogers Cup in Montreal , which begins on 7th August Next Week

Serbian tennis player Ana Ivanovic said today that it is disappointed in her match against Kim Klejsters in the final round of the Olympic Games in London, there was no time to develop, adding that he hoped she would smile a fortune in the draw.
"The match was much more rapid, everything happened so quickly. It (Clijsters) is a pretty good hit, especially on the backhand and not enough time to develop the game. Certainly I am disappointed because there was no time to develop the game, being well served and I have been to blame for me twice 'brejknula, "said Ivanovic told reporters after losing 6-3, 6-4 . 

 The best Serbian tennis player again had no luck in the draw.
 "It is always so, but I have to get the best players if you want to get back in the top 10 certainly was easier opponent than Kim, but I guess it will be the one to turn to," said 24-year-old from Belgrade. 

 Ana Ivanovic for the Games are over, because to play mixed doubles with Nenad Zimonjic.
 "I stayed as a mix of hope for a medal. It would be great to win today and sell it on," said Ana Ivanovic.

Mixed Doubles first Round rescheduled for Thursday

The Mixed Doubles first Round between Ana Ivanovic / Nenad Zimonjic from Serbia vs Sania Mirza / Leander Paes from India was postponed until thursday, following bad weather and a string of lengthy matches.


It has been rescheduled on third match on Wednesday on Court 14 around 16:00 PM local time

Mixed Doubles Main Draw

The draw of Mixed Doubles has announced today and Ana , Zimonjic will face in first Round against Mirza/Paes from India 


The winner of the contest will meet a Top seed  Azarenka / Mirnyi from belatusian or Kerber /Petzschner from Germany . In the semifinals Ana and Zimonjic could play Raymond /Bryan from USA or Dulko/Del Potro from Argentina , among others

Ana Ivanovic about the Olympics games in London

The best Serbian tennis player Ana Ivanovic announced a foray into the gold medal at the Olympic Games in London and admitted that she was withdrawing due to injury four years ago in Beijing, one of the biggest disappointments in my career.
" I would say that it is this year the most beautiful and most important event. The withdrawal from the Olympic Games in Beijing is probably the biggest disappointment of my career. I feel that waiting too long and now I want to get the most and enjoy the experience, Ivanovic said."


It was four years ago should make his debut at the Beijing Olympics, where she was one of the favorites to win some medals, but injuries got in the thumb. Now, her ambitions were again high, aim one of the medals, he says, maybe gold.
"This is definitely my goal. Do not take it that I win one or two matches. I always want to win and very motivation is high. But when it comes to such a large and important event such as the Olympics, it's really important to think step by step, game by game - she explained". 

Ivanovic said he can not wait to begin the biggest sporting event in the world.

 As beautiful childhood memories with the Olympics, Ivanovic said the success of Serbian basketball and volleyball.
"In childhood I loved to watch Olympics, especially basketball. However, one of the most beautiful memories of the memories when our volleyball team won the gold medal in Sydney 2000th year. I like to watch team sports. Fortunately, our athletes are there always achieve success, which is much uzbudljiivije - she said. Ivanovic added that will try to find time to watch the performances of other Serbian athletes at the Olympics."

London Olympics will be held from 27 July to 12 August.

Ana Ivanovic and Zimonjic playing Mixed Doubles in Wimbledon

This is confirmed on Nenad's website  ,Ana will play the Mixed Doubles competition at the Wimbledon  alongside compatriot Nenad Zimonjic. "Ziki", as he is known to friends, is the No.6-ranked doubles player on the ATP Tour and has won four mixed doubles Grand Slam titles.


Ana last played mixed doubles at a Grand Slam at the 2011 US Open  with Nenad Zimonjuc , when they lost in the first round .


The Mixed Doubles’ draw will be announced on Wednesday 27 June 2012.

Ana set for mixed doubles in Melbourne

Ana is planning to enter the Mixed Doubles competition at the Australian Open later this month alongside compatriot Nenad Zimonjic. "Ziki", as he is known to friends, is the No.3-ranked doubles player on the ATP Tour and has won four mixed doubles Grand Slam titles.

Ana last played mixed doubles at a Grand Slam at the 2006 Australian Open with Novak Djokovic, when they reached the second round. Her first ever professional foray into mixed doubles came with Zimonjic a year earlier at the French Open.

Ana is currently taking part in mixed doubles at this week's Hopman Cup: the 23-year-old and Djokovic beat Kazakhstan's Yaroslava Shvedova and Andrey Golubev 7-6, 6-4 in their opening match yesterday.
