Spain beats Serbia in Hopman Cup final

Spain defeated Serbia 2-1 to win the Hopman Cup for the fourth time on Saturday. 

Fernando Verdasco and Anabel Medina Garrigues won the deciding mixed doubles 6-4, 7-5 against Novak Djokovic and Ana Ivanovic. 

Djokovic took the first match for Serbia by overcoming a strong challenge from Verdasco 6-3, 7-5. Medina Garrigues evened it by outlasting Ivanovic 6-4, 6-7 (3), 6-2. 

Serbia had been seeking its first title in Perth. Djokovic broke back in the fifth game of the second set when Verdasco made a backhand error. Although he failed to convert two more break points at 4-4, he got a vital break to lead 6-5 when Verdasco netted a forehand.

 ''It's difficult to play against any player if he hits the winners from both sides and is very aggressive,'' Djokovic said. ''He was serving at over 200 kph consistently well and it was really hard for me to come back to the match.'' 

Ivanovic looked nervous and struggled with her first serve and at point appeared to be suffering from an illness. 

She was 2-0 up but Medina Garrigues immediately broke back and tied it 4-4 before serving out the set at love with an ace. 

Ivanovic led 2-0 again in the second set but called for the trainer and was given medication. She took a 5-2 lead, failed to serve out the set at 5-3 and eventually won the tiebreaker. 

In the final set, Medina Garrigues led 2-0 when Ivanovic double-faulted and went on to claim victory when Ivanovic netted a backhand on break point at 5-2. That forced the deciding mixed doubles match. 

Hopman Cup Final: Serbia vs Spain

Ana Ivanovic will face No.50 Anabel Medina Garrigues in the Final of Hopman Cup 2013 against Spain on Saturday.

World No.1 Novak Djokovic coming up against 24-ranked Fernando Verdasco in the opening rubber of the tie at 5.45pm local time. Immediately afterwards, Ana will face Medina Garrigues. The tie will end with a mixed doubles rubber.

Serbia reached the final of Hopman Cup

Ana and Novak Djokovic claimed victory for Serbia in their third tie at the Hyundai Hopman Cup in Perth by beating Germany 3-0. They both won their singles rubbers in straight sets and won the mixed match 6-2 7-5.

Serbia reached The final for the second time of the Hopman cup and will face Spain tomorrow with Medina Garrigues and Verdasco . The final will begin 5:45 local time .

Hopman Cup III: Serbia vs Germany

Ana Ivanovic will play against Tatjana Malex who remplaced Petkovic from Germany in the Hopman Cup on Friday.

World No.1 Novak Djokovic coming up against 52-ranked Bernard Tomic in the opening rubber of the tie at 5.45pm local time. Immediately afterwards, Ana will face Malex. The tie will end with a mixed doubles rubber.

If Serbia wins this confrontation They recheas to the Final of the Hopman Cup and will face Spain on Saturday

Serbia defeats Australia in Hopman Cup Group A

Ana Ivanovic and Novak Djokovic claimed victory for Serbia in their second tie at the Hyundai Hopman Cup in Perth by beating Australia 2-1 during at the Day 5.

Bernard Tomic upset top-ranked Novak Djokovic 6-4, 6-4 but Australia lost to Serbia 2-1 at the Hopman Cup on Wednesday. 

Ana Ivanovic evened the round-robin event by overwhelming Australian 16-year-old Ashleigh Barty 6-2, 6-3. Barty made a positive start, but once Ivanovic made the first break to lead 4-2 she took control. The Serbians combined to win the mixed doubles 6-4, 6-7 (8), 10-6.

Serbia  will face Germany in the last confrontation in the Gruop A . They will play on Friday 5:45 PM Local time . First Novak Djokovic  then Ana Ivanovic and after The doubles match
