Ana is seeded second at the Brisbane International, the first tournament of the year that begins in Australia tomorrow. She receives a bye in round one.
In round two Ana has been drawn to face either Jarmila Gaidosova or Shuai Zhang. Should she win that match, she is seeded to meet either Andrea Petkovic. Victoria Azarenka and Samantha Stosur are possible opponents in the semi-finals
The seeded players in the top half of the draw, whom Ana cannot face until the final, are No.1 Maria Sharapova, Sabine Lisicki, Angelique Kerber and Jelena Jankovic.
Ana is also action in doubles, playing alongside German’s Angelique Kerber. The pair will take on Klaudia Jans-Ignacik and Andreja Klepac in the first round. They will play today at Court 2 3rd match around 3:00pm local time.
