Ivanovic into to the Semifinals of Beijing.

9th seed Ana Ivanovic breezed into the quarter-finals of the China Open in Beijing,  with a 6-3 7-5 victory over German Sabine Lisicki on Thursday.

In the first game Serb Ivanovic trailed 15-40 on serve but she held. Ana breaks Sabine's serve at 2-1 and consolidate the break in the next game. Then the two players are holding her serves until 5-3 when Ana saved 4 break points and she took the set 6-3.

In the second set Ivanovic broke Lisicki's serve at 3-2 but the german player regained the break in the next game. Two players again are holding her serves until 5-5. Then Ana broke to serve for the match  and she won 6-3 7-5.

Ana was going to play against Simona Halep, who defeated Petkovic 7-6 6-7 7-6, but She has withdrawn from the tournament with a hip injury, giving Ivanovic a walkover into semi-finals.

Now Ana will play for a final spot against winner of the match between Maria Sharapova or Svetlana Kuznetsova. They will play this match on saturday.
